Thailand's King, Bhumibol Adulyadej has passed away at the age of 88 after suffering for years.
The widely revered King has served for 70 years making him the World's longest serving monarch.
King Bhumibol was seen as a peacemaker in Thailand for his compassionate nature even when the Country experienced political wars and repeated coups.
After days of speculations about the Kings deteriorating health, the palace finally confirmed his death on Thursday evening.
"His majesty has passed away at Siriraj Hospital peacefully," a statement said, adding he had died at 15:52 (08:52 GMT).

In a televised address to the nation, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha said Thailand would hold a one-year mourning period, that flags would fly half-mast and all entertainment functions must be "toned down" for a month.
Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn will be the new monarch, the prime minister has said.
