John Legend calls Kanye West and Trump's meeting a publicity stunt

Thursday, 15 December, 2016

John Legend and Kanye West have been friends for a long time and even their wives are best friends.
That though, did not stop John Legend from speaking his mind after Kanye met with President-elect Donald Trump.

Kanye has since explained why he met Donald Trump on tweeter saying that they discussed multicultural issues that included bullying, modernizing curriculums and violence in Chicago.

John Legend isn't having any of it though. He said that whatever Kanye has in mind, he disagrees with him.

“I don’t think it’s impossible to talk to (Trump) about issues, but I won’t be used as a publicity stunt. I think Kanye was a publicity stunt,” Legend told the French outlet Clique, in a video since published on RollingStone.com.

“I think Trump has been corrosive, his message has been corrosive to the country,” Legend added in the new interview. “I think the things he’s promised to do have been very concerning for a lot of people, and for Kanye to support that message is very disappointing. Whatever’s in his mind, I disagree with him.”
