Why I wouldn't nominate Idriss Sultan to host Mtvmamas 2016

I saw a post on MTV Base Africa's Instagram page asking if you would nominate Idriss to host MTVmamas 2016 and I was like hell, No!
Don't get me wrong though, I like Idriss, he really tries to be funny but hosting MTVmamas seems like too big a task for him at the moment!

The last time I went to his comedy show, it was boring, at some point, I even felt like people were laughing just to be kind to him! I laughed like once the whole time he was on stage.
That aside, he is such a eye candy, gotta give credit where credit is due. I was kinda surprised, so, with him what you see on his Instagram pictures is what you get.

Now, before anybody thinks I'm being mean to Idriss, let it be known that I live for a good laugh! I crave laughter, so I'm the easiest person to tickle. Sad I hardly laughed during his performance.
Idriss has the potential of being a great stand up comedian but he needs to try harder, practice more and learn to speak up while on stage. I could hardly hear him that day, at the funny fellas show.

I really hope this comes out the right way because I ain't trying to discourage a brother but it's only honesty that can help him go harder.

He has the passion, determination and will power to take him to the top but I wouldn't give up a good laughter from Kevin Hart or Basket Mouth for him or am I just spoilt for choice?
I mean, anyone would find it hard to chose between Kevin Hart, Basket mouth, Idriss Elba and Idriss Sultan. Kevin Hart and Basket Mouth are giants in the comedy industry and it's not even fair for Idriss to be competing against them.

On a brighter side though, it's more like a compliment having to compete against them, so that's a good sign in itself.

I'm not writing him off completely though so I think in a year or two he could surprise me but right now he needs to keep practicing before taking on projects that might affect his future in the laughter industry.
