Zambian president Edgar Lungu has been declared the winner of the presidential elections today while his opponent Hakainde Hichilema claims that there was electoral fraud.
"We have evidence to the effect that the votes for Hakainde Hichilema have been deliberately reduced in collusion with the Electoral Commission of Zambia," UPND lawyer Jack Mwiimbu told journalists.
The electoral commission said that Edgar Lungu won by 50.35% while Mr. Hakainde won by 47.67%
Mr Edgar Lungu became a President last year 2015 when the then president, Michael Sata died in office becoming the second Zambian president to die in office in the last five years time.
